Please note that our activities vary and require differing riding skill levels
We ask that you read carefully the requirements for each and only book something that is appropriate to your own personal ability.
All lessons at weekends or during the day may be upped by £20 for 2 hours by trekking or hacking the second hour.
Lessons/hacking/trekking may be arranged during the week for groups of 4 or more at a £2 supplement per person - please e-mail in with dates and times you are available.
These are valid for 1 hours riding. This can take the format of a 1 hour lesson with the option of an additional 1 hour trek /hack for a £20 supplement payable on the day (cash only). Or a 1 hour trek/hack or you can book a 2 hour trek/hack and pay a £20 supplement on the day (cash only).
On average, approximately 15 beginner lessons are required before you can be considered skilled enough to move up to the next level.
This involves entering the details (which were previously asked for on our Rider Registration Forms) through our secure booking system. These details are stored securely and never shared with third parties other than in compliance with both the data Protection Act 1998 and our own Privacy Policy. As well as updating your contact information, this also makes future booking quicker and simpler as logging in to the booking system automatically enters your details for you at checkout. Registration works for both the Voucher and Card booking systems which are now fully integrated.

If the lesson states it is for adults, then that is for riders 14 years or over. If it states it is for children, it is for under 16's. If it doesn't state either, then anyone can join in. An adult may elect to join a child's lesson with a child but remember it will be geared towards children. A trek following a lesson is suitable for all ages. The trek on its own may be used for any age but they must be able to ride by themselves and be prepared to trot - recommended age for 10 years and over. We now have a beginner lead rein trek which is suitable for all ages.
*PLEASE DO NOT OVERSTATE YOUR ABILITY AS THIS COULD BE DANGEROUS BOTH TO YOU AND OTHERS.* and, above all, we want you to be able to enjoy your experience with us. Anyone booking into a lesson that is not suitable will forfeit their voucher.
When you come arrive about 10 minutes before your allocated time slot, BRING YOUR VOUCHER. Hats are available, wear long trousers and bring gloves with fingers. Dresses and shorts are not suitable to ride in. Foot wear should be either wellies/trainers or shoes with a small heel, not any chunky shoes or buckles that may catch in the stirrups or flip flops. As we go into the winter please make sure that you and your children are dressed warmly. We advise woolly tights on underneath joggers.
There is a café or viewing gallery that parents or relatives may go into to watch the lesson.
